Youth Voice Playbook

NYLC offers a Resource Center that provides youth service-learning guidebooks, worksheets, toolkits and more. Of particular use in preparing this funding application may be the NYLC Service Learning Action Plan.

YSA’s Youth Service-Learning Experience Toolkit gives you the option to choose a week-long, month-long, or semester-long service-learning experience with youth. Provided as both Google Docs and Word Docs, each planning element has its own document, so users can pick and choose only the steps necessary for their unique activity.

Youth Service Knowledge Center also offers a wide range of guides and tipsheets on various youth service and service-learning activities.

Created through a collaboration of the Center for Digital Thriving at Harvard, Hopelab, and Character Lab. The Youth Voice Playbook is a free resource created to help build a future where young people’s voices need are heard, their experiences are understood, and their ideas are elevated by meaningfully building youth advisory opportunities. The Playbook is an all-in-one guide to everything from planning and recruitment to activities for exploring young people’s perspectives and then making sense of what is learned. The Playbook shares usable resources, insights, and real stories.
