Public Allies Connecticut will have 30 AmeriCorps members who will build the capacity of 18 host organizations to develop new systems, conduct community assets and needs assessments, develop partnerships to expand or improve programming, improve programming based upon performance data and other capacity building activities across Connecticut in Hartford, New Haven, and Bridgeport. At the end of the first program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for an increase in their host site's effectiveness, efficiency, and/or reach in at least 13 organizations addressing economic, health, and education disparities. In addition, the AmeriCorps members will leverage 50 volunteers who will be engaged in direct service at host sites.
