College Renaissance Corps CT (CRCorps CT) partners with CT State Community Colleges to engage students pursuing high-demand training and education as AmeriCorps members, offering near-peer mentorship and industry pathway guidance at area high schools and community-based organizations.
Grant Deliverables: College Renaissance Corps (CRCorps) will have 25 AmeriCorps members who will provide near- peer outreach, mentoring, and coaching to historically- underrepresented individuals in pursuing a technical degree or certification, opening opportunities for high-demand, living-wage careers, and ultimately, economic mobility. At the end of the first program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for mentoring 800 individuals and supporting the enrollment of 160 students in post-secondary workforce education at CT State Community Colleges including: Asnuntuck, Capital, Housatonic, Manchester, Naugatuck Valley, and Quinebaug.
